Similan Island
This group of nine remote islands located one and half hours
by speedboat from Tab Lamu pier, was designated as a national
park in 1982. The Similan Islands are home to many different
species of marine life. With their stunning coral reefs and
unspoiled lands, the islands offer a world-class underwater
experience for scuba divers. They are consistently ranked
as one of the top ten dive sites in the world, and tourists
are known to be making frequent return visits.
Accommodations are available on some of the islands or alternatively,
a day trip is a common alternative.
Surin Island
Surin Islands National Park is made up of five islands and
was awarded national park status in 1981. Like the Similan
Islands, this is another world famous site for snorkeling
and scuba diving. It is one and a half hour by boat from Khuraburi.
Once there, you will be able to enjoy another range of beautiful
coral reefs in this part of the country. A fantastic undersea
world including a variety of multi-coloured fishes and other
sea animals will create a lasting impression on you. Accommodations
